About the Position
We are seeking a results-driven and detailed-oriented Accounts Receivable/Payable (AR/AP) Manager with a strong background and expertise in both areas of accounting. The ideal candidate will oversee and streamline the organizations receivable and payable operations, focusing on improvements, scalability, and controls. The Accounts Receivable/Payable Manager reports directly to the Assistant Controller.
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Lead, mentor, and manage teams of specialists, setting objectives ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
  • Conduct regular training and performance evaluations to improve department efficiency and individual employee development.
  • Manage end-to-end AR/AP processes for multiple entities including domestic and international. Ensuring accurate and timely results, meeting month end close deadlines and ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger. 
  • Audit methods and procedures of AR/AP functions to improve efficiencies. Write and implement procedures and internal controls to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets. 
  • Analyze/reconcile complex data, identify trends, and implement strategic decisions to optimize both departmental and financial results.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws. i.e. 1099 reporting, escheat, sales and use tax.
  • Become an expert in all systems utilized by the AR/AP departments; being able to train the team and enhance processes and controls through system automation. (NetSuite, Avalara, AvidXchange, expense reimbursement.)
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial documentation and insight into AR/AP operations.
  • Lead or participate in special department projects as assigned by management or Executive team members. i.e. system conversions, acquisition integrations.
Supervisory Responsibility 
This position will directly supervise the Accounts Receivable and Payable staff. 

What We Need
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Accounts Payable function.
  • 6+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable function.
  • 5+ years of management experience. 
Additional Requirements
  • Strong analytical abilities and proven track record to define root causes and implement solutions to address   issues. 
  • Experience with NetSuite and AvidXchange a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. 
  • Able to identify opportunities for improvement and assume responsibility to implement improvements.
  • The ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

Compensation: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
