Position Summary/Objective
The Marketing Services Manager reports directly to the Senior Marketing Services Manager.  This is a full time, salaried position.  The main objective of this position is to provide local marketing support to the field to enable FASTSIGNS centers to generate market awareness and leads that ultimately build center sales and a successful franchise system. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter with a blend of field marketing, digital marketing, product/services marketing, content marketing and marketing operations skill sets.

Essential Functions
  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison between FASTSIGNS International and franchise partners for assigned markets; communicate annual marketing programs to the field and help franchisees with implementation on a daily basis (as proactively as time allows)
  • Strong ability to monitor, evaluate and analyze franchisee local market performance and provide lead generating and business building solutions
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing programs including Google AdWords and Google Business Profile
  • Assist in the coordination of special marketing projects as needed; serve on teams and represent marketing as needed (e.g. Franchise Development marketing point person) 
  • Create and execute local marketing budgets and plans as needed – for both new and existing owners; serve as a consultant by providing ideas and strategies to help build awareness/sales, reviewing media proposals and making recommendations
  • Manage multiple aspects of new center and resale center marketing including franchise compliance and account reconciliation, plan creation and execution, vendor coordination, new center visits, etc. with the goal of helping new owners get started/breakeven quickly
  • Assist with internet marketing including local search tracking, listings, email marketing and web updates as needed
  • Assist in the on-going communication of cause-related marketing programs for the franchise system
  • Work with our direct mail and telemarketing vendors to create marketing campaigns for our centers
  • Provide input from the field for use in The Cutting Edge magazine as well as writing articles for the publication when requested; provide information for the weekly and monthly e-newsletters
  • Attend and/or present at meetings such as the Annual Convention, New Owner Training, Internal Training (Advanced CSR, General Manager, etc.), Franchise Business Consultant Team meetings, Marketing or Operations meetings, and National Advertising Council Board meetings as needed
  • Be familiar with all Marketing Resources and direct franchisees to them
  • Work closely with other FASTSIGNS departments; ensure that the Franchise Services Department is aware of efforts for centers; assist in any marketing pre-planning before a Franchise Business Consultant visit (e.g. complete appropriate Marketing Audits)
  • Work with Franchise Business Consultants on programs for alert centers and centers with the lowest sales
  • Research/test new marketing vendors/programs for the franchise system
  • Track results of multiple National Advertising Council sponsored programs to confirm strong performance and recommend adjustments
  • Other responsibilities as directed by the Director of Marketing Services
  • Participate as needed in special department projects as assigned by management or Executive team members

Supervisory Responsibility 
This position has no direct or indirect reports.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, and hours of work and days Monday through Friday, working flexible hours between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel
Occasional out-of-the-area and overnight travel is a requirement based on this position.   Travel could range from 8 to 12 weeks on an annual basis.  

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Security Clearance (for travel)
If required to travel internationally, you must maintain approved special security clearance documentation to include valid identification, visa, passport, etc.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
