Position Summary/Objective
The ideal candidate should be a dynamic sales powerhouse with a solid grasp of franchising. They must be proficient in grasping various concepts and excel in communication, exhibiting innovative thinking, particularly in addressing and countering objections from prospective franchisees. With a keen interest in continuous learning and the flexibility to adapt to various scenarios, they should present themselves and our company with utmost professionalism. Additionally, they should possess the acumen to recognize and effectively engage with sophisticated candidates who have diverse purchasing approaches and lead to large-scale development opportunities.

The successful candidate should have impeccable follow-up skills, and the ability to quickly develop trusting business relationships with franchise prospects, existing franchisees, and franchise brokers. They must possess an inherent desire to exceed expectations.  Focus in the position is on specific daily activities that will produce results over time. They need to have the capability to handle their assigned responsibilities, coordinate their travel plans, and oversee their financial expenditures. 

The successful candidate must also understand the importance of time management and possess the ability to prioritize, not just tasks, but franchise prospects, based on their level of interest, financial capabilities, and zealousness about the concept. They will collaborate with their supervisors to establish new lead sources, track the results, and report on the findings. 

Essential Functions
  • Qualifying new franchise prospects based on company criteria
  • Travel as required
  • Capable of guiding candidates through a structured sales journey, while tailoring the approach to suit each individual's unique needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely files on each prospect in the company’s CRM software
  • Attend franchise trade shows, industry trade shows, networking events and conventions as needed
  • Proactively seek out conversion leads through cold calls and field visits in specified markets
  • Assist as needed in gathering competitive data on other brands in our industry
  • Fully understand and abide by franchise disclosure laws and regulations; understand current Franchise Disclosure Document for the Propelled Brands family of brands as it is related to the ability to answer a prospect’s questions during their due diligence
  • Update and maintain weekly list of top prospects reviewed with the Vice President of Development and Support
  • Assist in the development of annual individual sales goals and plan for achieving those goals
  • Conduct weekly calls to franchise brokers

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office or remote environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smartphones, video conferencing, webinars, phones, photocopiers, printers, filing cabinets, shredding and fax machines.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to walk, talk, see and hear. And lift up to 20 pounds. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position of at least 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. 

Travel
Travel is primarily during business days, out-of-the-area and overnight travel is expected based on individual job responsibilities. Some of the travel may occur on weekends or be international. Company events may include Summits and the Annual Conventions may also include travel. 

Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of franchise sales experience; directly responsible for lead follow-up and qualification, due diligence assistance, and sale closing
  • Proven track record of franchise or other relationship-selling skills
  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience of 5+ years in sales
Salary
$90,000 - $100,000 per year plus commission
